hello? This is ophthalmologist Kim Seon-young.
many of you,
'Clear LASIK came out recently, isn't it a good surgery?'
I'm trying to find clear lasik reviews..
In fact, I would like to say that there is not much use in looking around such reviews.
(You may have been a little embarrassed to hear these words..^^)
Maybe that's why you're curious about reviews,
- Are the results satisfactory?
- how is the recovery period
- what is the price
You may be wondering, etc.
In today's article,
In addition to the reason for 'why you can't just read the reviews', we'll let you know everything you're curious about.
Please read it carefully for 5 minutes, no more, no less. ^_^
For reference, I have been an ophthalmologist for 14 years and currently serve as the representative director of one of the 7 places that have Clear LASIK in the Gangnam area.
(I have a lot of experience in clear LASIK surgery, so you can trust my writing and read it ^^)
Why did I say that there is no use in reading the Clear Lasik review?
To start with the conclusion, this is because the surgical method may not be suitable for you.
When you go to the hospital for surgery, first of all, we do an 'optometry' to comprehensively check the condition of your eyes.
Depending on the results, the type of surgery that can be received among various surgical methods is narrowed down.
In the process, what if you have eyes that are not suitable for Clear LASIK?
That means you may need to get another LASIK or LASIK.
Let's take an example to help you understand.
Representatively, those who have very poor eyesight and those who have a thin cornea due to genetic reasons,
'Clear LASIK' can be difficult to receive. (Smile too)
This is because any surgery such as LASIK, LASEK, etc. (excluding lens implantation) must have some residual cornea remaining after correcting the vision.
Unfortunately, the clear surgery method requires a little more corneal removal than other surgeries, so
For those with thin corneas, it is a bit limited.
And those who are accompanied by ultra-high myopia or astigmatism have more corneal scraping than other people.
You need to undergo a relatively less shaving type of surgery. (LASIK or LASEK)\
If you do not consider this part and just read the review of Clear Lasik and proceed with the surgery..
There is a downside that if the vision deteriorates a little later, it may be difficult to undergo revision surgery because the cornea is too thin.
As a result of pressure from the back of the eye, the side effect of swelling of the cornea may occur.
That's why no matter how much you want to receive the clear,
If you visit an ophthalmologist and get an optometrist... that means you may be selected as an unsuitable subject... haha
When we looked statistically at the people who came to our ophthalmology clinic, about half of the 10 patients did not receive it.
Therefore, rather than unconditionally looking for reviews on the Internet with the mindset of 'I'm going to get cleared!'
First of all, I would like to say that it is more important to go to a doctor who can carefully examine my eyes and tell me what the most suitable surgical method is.
Sometimes when I post articles like this, you wonder how our ophthalmology clinic treats you and how you communicate with patients.
Last time, I brought an article about 'visit - review of the surgery process' written by a patient who received Clear LASIK at our ophthalmology clinic, so please refer to it.
I think it will solve the part you are curious about ^^
[Patient's actual visit to Clear LASIK]
[Notice] What is the ophthalmic examination/surgery process? Actual review published
Also, I said earlier that I was going to tell you everything about Clear Lasik, right?
There is already a well-written article below, so I hope you read it once!
