"I'm trying to get Smile Lasik.
I'm just worried about the side effects...
I think I heard that revision surgery is impossible, but is it really impossible?"

The above question is the most frequently asked question by Smile Lasik patients who meet 10 people a day.
Perhaps all of you reading this article are afraid of Smile Lasik with the same concerns as above.
In order to get rid of your worries, I would like to share the opinions of ophthalmologists on the subject of 'Smile Lasik revision surgery, is it really possible?'
I, who writes this article, am the representative director and ophthalmologist of an ophthalmology clinic in Gangnam, and have a history of serving as a clinical professor at 'Catholic St. Mary's Hospital', the top ophthalmology university hospital in Korea.
If you read the article to the end, you will be able to answer your questions one after another about whether it is possible to resurgery with Smile Lasik.
(And below, I have written a honey tip for those who are worried about revision surgery, so please read it to the end)

Is Smile Lasik Revision Surgery Possible? vs is it impossible?

Let's start with the conclusion.. 'It's possible'
It is also possible to re-surgery from Smile LASIK to SmileLASIK again.
However, even if it is theoretically possible, realistically, it is highly likely that it will be difficult because the amount of corneal ablation of the Smile Lasik is large.
So, usually, when re-surgery is done, LASIK or LASEK is often used.
The advantage of undergoing revision surgery with LASIK is that recovery after revision surgery is fast and there is not much pain.
On the other hand, the disadvantage is that the operation is performed by creating a corneal flap,
There is a fatal flaw that the lid can be overturned during extreme exercise or activity.

LASIK - This is the process of opening and closing the corneal flap.

On the other hand, LASEK uses a method of cutting the cornea from the front rather than creating a flap.
It has the advantage of being safe from extreme sports such as boxing or judo.

Then, you may be wondering, isn’t Lasik always good?
In fact, in terms of pain, LASIK is much more painful than LASIK,
so those who are afraid of pain do not prefer it.

3 Essential Considerations for LASIK & LASEK Surgery in Korean ophthalmology

So, to summarize again,
Smile Lasik revision surgery is possible!
However, it is difficult with Smile Lasik, and you can receive Lasik or Lasik!

I can arrange that ^^

I have one more thing I want to ask you guys here.
If you are planning to receive Smile Lasik, please receive it at an ophthalmology clinic that operates a re-surgery center.
These days, surgery is done so well, so the possibility of reoperation is not that high.
Occasionally, it is often seen that myopia regression (visual acuity falls again) occurs due to the patient's genetic factors.
Looking at the people who still visit our hospital for re-surgery,
Still, I think that the possibility of revision surgery is open to anyone.
In this case, if you have surgery in a hospital where reoperation is possible,
Since the surgery can be performed while using the information stored in the previous surgery, many unnecessary procedures are omitted.
(And it may be a little difficult to accurately reflect your information if you have surgery at another hospital and revision surgery at another ophthalmology clinic)
So, I'd like to recommend you to visit an ophthalmology clinic with a revision surgery center.

However, as you would know if you search the Internet... you will find that there are not as many places that have revision surgery centers as of now.
The frequency of the surgery itself is not relatively high, and the level of difficulty is high, so doctors are not welcoming it.
As a result, the number of patients who need revision surgery continues to accumulate, and the number of patients who are not receiving proper treatment continues to increase.
It hurts me so much that these people can't be treated anywhere.. Eventually, a re-surgery center was established in the hospital.
I didn't say this to ask you to visit us, so I hope there's no misunderstanding. ^_^

So far, I have tried to answer the question, Is it possible to have Smiler implantation surgery?
Since I'm answering so many people's questions, I often hear 'what the hell is the director doing?'..^^
If any of you are curious about who I am, I will attach an introduction to myself below, so please check it out.
