"I heard that Clear LASIK is good... How much should I do?"

"It's frustrating because there are only advertisements"

You've probably heard that Clear LASIK is better than 'Smile LASIK' and are looking at the price/cost.

I searched the internet and couldn't find a place to properly inform you, so I think you must have been quite frustrated.

I am writing this article, a former clinical professor from Catholic University Hospital, and the director of an ophthalmology clinic in Gangnam.

I will tell you the 'clear Lasik' price/cost that I am curious about today, so please read it and get information.

First of all, the price/cost of ''Clear Lasik, which you have been curious about, is about 2 to 3 million won.

You may have suddenly thought, “Is there a difference of 1 million won?”

Clear equipment that still exists in the Gangnam area currently has only 6 to 7 locations (our hospital is one of them), and it would be good to understand that this is because the price varies depending on the medical staff's surgical experience.. .

However, I do have one concern.

Sometimes, when I look on the Internet, I often see stories saying 'I regret the surgery' after receiving Smile/Clear LASIK.

I sincerely hope that this does not happen to you, and I would like to tell you one key point that determines the outcome of LASIK/LASIK surgery.

'Good equipment and expensive surgery do not always produce good results.

I want to focus on 'the person who handles that equipment'

Even if patients say to me, 'I want to do Clear LASIK', I will tell you, 'I know the patient's feelings well, but I want you to receive our checkup properly'.

If you have very poor eyesight, such as high myopia,

If you are accompanied by astigmatism,

Did you know that 'LASIK' or 'LASEK' may be more appropriate than receiving Smile/Clear LASIK?

After all, I would like to say that I am a doctor who knows which equipment can give better results to your eyes based on the test results of the 'Equipment Viewer'.

Therefore, as much as you who read this article, rather than deciding surgery only with 'equipment'

I would like you to visit a doctor who will carefully check your eye condition and recommend the most appropriate surgery for you.

Even though I've talked about it like this, I'm worried that there will be people who are worried about 'Where is a meticulous hospital...'.

So, right below, I will leave an article about '3 secrets of finding a meticulous doctor' written by the author.

If you read this article carefully and visit an ophthalmologist, I'm sure you won't have any regrets after surgery. ^^

[3 Essential Considerations for LASIK & LASEK Surgery in Korean ophthalmology ]

In the following content, we will learn about Clear&Smile, including the doctor's personal opinion.

If you are curious try reading this please. ^_^

The difference between Clear LASIK and Smile LASIK in the eyes of an ophthalmologist

Years ago, I used to ask this question whenever I saw patients.

'This equipment has just arrived in Korea. How did you find out about Clear Lasek?'

So, I asked patients, 'How did you find out about Clear LASIK?' And they ask, 'Why do you want to get clear LASIK?

Then, the patients laughed a little awkwardly (?) and said, 'Looking on the Internet, Smile is a 3rd generation device and Clear is a 4th generation device. I think the 4th generation is better,” he said.

Of course, it is true that one generation of high-end equipment is correct, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime 'eye' surgery, and they say that they are doing surgery 'because the equipment looks good'. It is true that I was a little worried. .

In case you think the same, I, a doctor, will briefly summarize the difference between smile and clear in 5 lines.

(Maybe it's good to know for those who are about to go to the hospital)

The picture above is a thesis on the difference between clear and smile.

The biggest difference between the 3rd generation equipment and the 4th generation equipment mentioned in the thesis is 'whether there is an eye tracking device or not'.

Occasionally, if the patient is nervous during surgery (most of the time they are very nervous), they will squint their eyes without realizing it.

This can cause your eyes to move slightly and be out of place.

In that case, the laser may not properly irradiate the desired treatment area.

At first, vision may be seen well, but later, side effects such as myopia may appear. (It's not that common, so I don't think it's a level to worry about ^^)

'Clear LASIK' is equipped with an eye tracking device to secure this area and irradiates lasers along the moving pupil.

This is 'Amaris Red' equipment used for LASIK LASIK surgery, not Clear LASIK equipment.

I brought it because I thought it would be good to help you understand ^^

In addition to this, there are a few more differences. In case anyone is curious, I am attaching an article I wrote previously, so please read it.

Today, we talked about the price/cost of Clear LASIK and explained the difference between Smile/Clear LASIK.

If you have any questions about the treatment at the ophthalmology clinic, please feel free to leave a comment.

It would be nice to write an article with the questions you gave when you have time. ^^

Until now, I was Kim Seon-young, the director of the Healing Eye Hospital.

thank you ^^
