If you directly consult with those who are looking for One-Day Lasek or Two-Day Lasek

'Lasek, it hurts enough to make me cry...'

'But some people say it's better than LASIK because it requires fewer corneal incisions than LASIK...'

'I came because I thought it would be okay to be sick for a day'

You say this a lot.

(There were also people who said the same thing for more than 3 minutes today^^)

Are you having similar concerns?

Today, I will tell you the doctor's honest opinion on this part.

As I write this article, I am currently working as an ophthalmologist and clinical professor at Top Catholic St. Mary's Hospital in the field of ophthalmology. day lasek

If you are worried, please read to the end.

Lasek is very painful, so many people are looking for one-day Lasek, which can be done in one day.
I'm sorry to say this, but there is no surgical method called 'one-day Lasek' yet.
Simply put, 'two days' means that the expected recovery period after surgery ends in 'one day' instead of two days.
Therefore, 1-day Lasek that everyone knows is likely to mean 2-day Lasek.
Then what kind of surgery will it be today? Will the pain be severe?

A surgical method that recovers in 2 days, Today Lasek

Normally, it takes 3 days for the cornea to heal normally after LASIK, but 'Today LASIK' is a method that heals the cornea in 2 days.
The reason this operation is possible is because there is a slight difference in the surgical method.

To put it simply, the Today method is a method of making a slightly narrower incision on the corneal surface than usual.
The narrower the area, the smaller the area and the less pain. (Pain is described below.)

'Then why is it wide open when everyone cuts it narrowly?'

You may have a question called.
In fact, mowing blindly and narrowly isn't necessarily a good thing.
The narrower the incision, the shorter the time and less pain, but the disadvantages inevitably appear.

A typical side effect would be 'light smearing'.
Our pupils are larger at night than in the morning.
When the pupil dilates at night, the relatively unsharpened area can cause light straying.
Therefore, it is most important to determine the surface area of the cornea to be shaved while considering the patient's pupil size during surgery.
(There is also a side effect that degeneration can come quickly, but if you are a doctor with a lot of experience in surgery, you can do it while minimizing the probability)

So what pain are you worried about?

Isn't it painful?

Listening to the stories of the patients, it seems that the number of patients suffering has decreased as the duration of pain has decreased.
But the pain is so different from person to person that some people say they can't sleep for two days, while others say it's not unbearably severe.
As someone who has done Lasik, I know how painful it can be..^^
So every time I thought, 'Is there any way to more definitely reduce the pain?'
Finally, I found a way to relieve the pain for sure ^^

This is actually one of my know-how.
In order to reduce inflammation, which is the main cause of pain, 'inflammatory drugs' are frequently administered before, during, and after surgery.
There were many people who said they actually had no feeling for 2-3 days by adding just one simple method like this.
Of course, there are additional ways to reduce the pain, but I'm leaving a well-written post because I'm afraid the post will be too long.
If you are worried about pain, please read it once :)
